Minnieville's P.R.E.S.S. In (Pushing In Exceptional Reading Support Services) plan is a unique, structured and highly effective literacy support framework that provides and utilizes staff to support small group differentiated support within the language arts block. During a typical 30 minute block, a literacy team alongside the classroom teacher works with small groups of students to provide differentiated and engaging literacy lessons that promote comprehension, fluency, decoding and vocabulary development. This approach elements the need for traditional "center based" instruction and provides maximum Tier 1 instruction and engagement for all students. Grade level and literacy teams collaborate to align instructional methods, share resources and provide differentiated instruction to each student while collaboratively monitoring student literacy progress and refining instructional techniques.
