Dear Minnieville families,

We are excited to announce that our new assistant principal for the 2019-20 school year will be Mrs. Melanie Krotz. Mrs. Krotz has twenty-four years of experience in education with Fairfax County Public Schools. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in special education from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York and a Master of Science in Special Education from Old Dominion University. In addition, she has earned a certificate in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. Mrs. Krotz is an avid reader and is passionate about reading instruction.

Mrs. Krotz enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is originally from Buffalo and has been married for nineteen years. She has a 13-year-old daughter who will be an eighth-grader at Lake Ridge Middle School in the World Languages Spanish program.

She is thrilled and honored to serve Minnieville and its community and is looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Sincerely,
Deborah Ellis
Principal
